Fishing, along with pearling and trading were prevalent well before the discovery of
oil. It is a sought-after holiday destination with a perfect winter climate, excellent

| Sailfish are abundant in the Gulf, averaging between 30 and 60lbs (some larger
fish are caught). Tuna, queenfish, Spanish mackerel, grouper and snapper are also
prevalent. You can choose to fish with conventional or fly fishing tackle. |
